Quick and simple
1. Fill one big drop of blood in the PAQ - use venous or capillary blood
Venous blood sample in PAQ:
- Check that the blood sample is thoroughly mixed
- Use a pipette or capillary tube with a minimumc capacity of 20μL
- Introduce the pipette to the PAQ blood inlet (it may touch the inlet).
- Take a medium to large blood drop into the pipette opening. Capillary forces will fill the inlet tube automatically.
- If the blood inlet tube is not completely filled by the blood drop introduce more blood into the inlet.
- Do not use capillary tubes containing heparin.
Capillary blood sample in PAQ:
- Clean one of the 3 center fingers
- Make a finger stick (use a High Flow lancet)
- Use the 2nd blood drop - must be big and hanging (20 uL)
- Let the blood inlet touch the blood drop - but not the finger itself
The blood inlet is automatically filled by capillary forces - The PAQ is correctly filled when you see blood in the Control Area
2. Press the START button on the analyzer
3. Insert the PAQ and run the test
4. Wait 2 minutes for the result
